Boss expects exciting Lane clash

12 October 2012

Danny Wilson is predicting an open contest when Oldham Athletic arrive at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

The Latics have won their last two matches in League One and with that in the forefront of his mind, the Blades boss believes the Lancastrians will come to the Steel City determined to continue their winning run.

On the challenge his team will face, Wilson said: "Oldham will be buoyant after their last two results and by all accounts they were fantastic against Preston last Saturday.

"They will be full of confidence coming to the Lane; they had a great win here last season, despite us dominating the game for long periods.

"We know they will come and play good football and I am sure Paul (Dickov) will be looking to get a positive result, which should make it an exciting game for the neutral.

"We are confident as we are ahead of every game; we remain focused on our next test and don't worry too much about what has happened previously, but on the back of two good away wins, the lads are looking forward to getting back to Bramall Lane."
