The emphasis is on us

16 November 2012

Danny Wilson insists the Blades won't underestimate the challenge of Stevenage at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Only leaders Tranmere have accumulated more points on the road than Gary Smith's men this season and Wilson is wary of the threat they will pose his team, although the Gaffer is keen to see his players take the game to their opponents from the off:

"On the back of very strong season last time around, when they took a lot of teams by surprise, we know it won't be easy.

"The way they play has altered but they have maintained a consistency and will arrive at Bramall Lane in confident mood, despite a couple of recent home defeats.

"You only have to look at their away record, which includes six wins from eight matches, to appreciate how tough it will be.

"It is a game in which I fancy us, as I always do at Bramall Lane, but obviously must appreciate that Stevenage will be resilient as they were last season, especially in the play-offs.

"Stevenage should no longer be regarded as a long ball team; they are more subtle and have some good ball players in their side.

"They have had a terrific rise from non-league and should be congratulated for what they have and are continuing to achieve.

"The emphasis is on ourselves as normal at home, we need to start positively and stamp our authority on the game."
