Playing with a smile

9 November 2012

Tony McMahon says the Blades have nothing to fear in League One and believes the excellent start to the season is down to boss Danny Wilson.

United have won eight and drawn eight in the league this term, keeping eight clean sheets in the process and McMahon says the foundations have now been laid for a successful campaign:

"Confidence is sky high at the moment and why wouldn't it be, given the run we are on. We shouldn't fear playing anybody.

"The lads don't talk about the run much at all but obviously it gives everyone a lift and we want to keep it going for as long as possible.

"The Gaffer is a great communicator and has fantastic man-management skills.

"I am loving my time here and when I play with a smile on my face my performances are usually better and a lot of the lads will probably say the same."

On Saturday's challenge, McMahon added: "MK Dons have been there or thereabouts for a few seasons now, they like to play an attractive style of football.

"They will want to get the ball down, make the pitch as big as possible and play in an expansive way.

"We go there full of confidence with the focus firmly on winning all three points. We believe we can win every game and if we are at our best I see no reason to think anything else."
