Danny Wilson has revealed Dave Kitson will miss Saturday's away clash with the MK Dons.
Kitson pulled his hamstring in training prior to the clash with his former club Portsmouth last month and Wilson acknowledges it has been slow progress since but remains cautious about rushing the talismanic striker back too soon.
The Gaffer gave an update on the injury at his weekly press conference: "Dave is still struggling with a pulled hamstring.
"He has such a delicate injury that you can never expect players to be back sooner than first predicted. It is an injury that can go wrong very quickly, so we must be extremely careful with him.
"We need to keep testing him and gradually build him back up as the days go on and he gets stronger.
"We are determined not to push him because the last thing we want is for Dave to break down and be out for even longer.
"After the weekend we have a free midweek in the build up to Stevenage, so the plan is to up his workload, if he continues to respond well to treatment."
