Danny Wilson is keen to stabilise the Blades lofty position in League One, despite it looking unlikely that any new recruits will be added to his squad before Thursday's 5pm loan deadline.
The Gaffer has praised the players he currently has at his disposal and whilst saying he would have taken the opportunity to add to his options, he remains confident of playing with the cards he has been dealt.
Speaking at his weekly press conference, ahead of Saturday's trip to Brentford, Wilson remarked: "It is disappointing but it doesn't look like we will sign anybody between now and the loan deadline. That is the way things go.
"We aren't in a position to do any business so we are going to have to bite our lip and go with what we have got, we have got a committed bunch of players that will always give everything that they have got.
"My biggest concern now is that we have a long time and a lot of games until January, so we can ill afford anymore injuries or suspensions because we wouldn't be able to get replacements.
"Hopefully the injured lads at the moment will be back sooner rather than later and that will at least add some experience to the group which is available at the present time."
