Lecsinel Jean-Francois should return to competitive action in September, Paul Teather confirmed from Malta.
The Haitian international defender suffered serious cruciate knee ligament damage against Oldham Athletic at Bramall Lane, but Teather has been delighted with Jean-Francois progress:
"Lecsinel is making really good progress. When he was younger he had a similar problem in his other knee so we are trying to follow the same pathway during his rehabilitation.
"He had the operation in France and subsequent spells in France as part of his rehabilitation and I must praise him for the shape he has returned in - he looks in fabulous nick.
"We have contributed but he has progressed phenomenally well, we think on our schedule he is well on course to make his targeted return date of mid September, rather than August which could be a little bit optimistic."
