Michael Doyle is already plotting the Blades route out of League One... just days after the squad returned back for pre-season training.
After United fell at the final hurdle in the play-off at Wembley last term, weeks after missing out on automatic promotion, Doyle believes that those setbacks will act as motivation this time around:
"The feeling of that defeat (against Huddersfield Town) won't leave us totally until we achieve promotion and it has taken us some time to get the disappointment out of our system.
"The plan this season is to win promotion from League One. Last season was disappointing, towards the end when we tailed off and missed out on automatic promotion.
"Then to get to the play-off final at Wembley and lose on penalties was heartbreaking. Perhaps the disappointment can spur us this time around.
"As soon as we got back into the dressing-room at Wembley I was already looking forward to the new season. I am determined to put things and I am sure all the lads feel the same.
"We will continue to play in the same way because that is something the manager asked of us and we responded positively."
On the first week of pre-season at Shirecliffe, the skipper added: "It is nice to be back and it has been a tough few days, which I am sure will only get harder next week, before we head of the Malta."
