Productive Christmas pleases Ryan

28 December 2012

Ryan Flynn says the festive period is proving to be a very productive one for the Blades.

The Blades have won both matches over Christmas, scoring five goals and keeping two clean sheets in the process.

Speaking of the 3-0 win over Scunthorpe United on Boxing Day, Flynn commented: "It was always going to be tough work out there, but in the first half we got an early goal and that relaxed everyone.

"As the game went on we took control and again we defended really well as a team.

"In possession we used the ball well, even in difficult conditions and in the end we could have scored a few more.

"I think they rain helped us zip the ball about if anything although obvious the weather will take affect on the pitch."

Looking ahead, the Scottish winger concluded: "With the games coming thick and fast you have to rest properly but I am sure the lads will be raring to go again come Saturday.

"It will give us a massive boost ahead of the Doncaster game if we can get another three points on the board with a win over Hartlepool United.

"The games at this time of year are part and parcel of football and when you are winning you would happily play everyday because the points soon add up."
