Ryan Flynn is becoming Danny Wilson's Mr. Versatile after featuring in the heart of the Blades engine room in the stalemate with Tranmere Rovers at the weekend.
"Obviously I was playing there because of Kevin McDonald's injury, but it was a hard game to get involved in," said Flynn.
"Neither team got the ball down and passed particularly well, but we got another point and a clean sheet so they are the positives.
"I will always give 100 per cent wherever the Gaffer wants me to play, but I am looking forward to Kevin returning and hopefully I can get back onto the wing."
Flynn felt Ronnie Moore's men will have been happier with a point, but the Scotsman praised the crowd for their backing on Saturday:
"We struggled to create much going forward and it was a scrappy game that probably suited Tranmere. They were ahead of us in the league and I think they came not to lose first and foremost.
"The crowd stayed with us until the end but unfortunately we couldn't reward them with the winner."
