Lecsinel Jean-Francois has revealed he is edging ever closer to a return to first-team action.
The versatile Haitian international recovered from the serious knee injury he sustained in March to return to competitive action in October, only to suffer another injury on his comeback appearance, this time to the other knee.
But the 26-year-old has again worked tirelessly behind the scenes and seems set to be rewarded with an early Christmas present.
Speaking exclusively to sufc.co.uk, Jean-Francois said: "I feel really good. It is about 10 days since I started training and I have had no ill effects.
"Each day that goes by I feel fitter and stronger and I am confident that my knee is strong. I don't have any apprehension or worries when it comes to training.
"I didn't rush back last time it was just unfortunate that in my first game back I got an awkward challenge. Hopefully it won't be too long before I am back in the squad; I am feeling really confident in training so I will continue to work really hard.
"I know at this time of year, with the weather like it is, that is often difficult to get games arranged but we will see what happens in the next week or two."
