Duo praised by boss

3 December 2012

Danny Wilson says Neill Collins (illness) is an early doubt for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Coventry City.

The defender was forced to be withdrawn before the second-half resumed in Saturday's FA Cup clash with Port Vale at the weekend and after Wilson reported:

"Neill wasn't well prior to kick-off, but as you would expect he was keen to start. We could see he wasn't well as the first half progressed, he insisted on going out for the second half but it was clear it couldn't carry on.

"The doctor will have a look at him, but you know with Neill he will want to play at Coventry."

Looking back at Shaun Miller's match-winning brace against the Valiants, the Gaffer added:

"We know Shaun will score goals. He didn't get disappointed by not scoring earlier in the game; he kept working hard and getting in the right positions.

"You always want strikers to score goals and if they are you have to praise them. Shaun has areas of his game he needs to improve, like all the lads do, but he is in the team on merit at the moment."
