Danny Wilson is adamant football at Christmas time must remain in the domestic schedule.
Many countries have a winter break, but the Blades boss insists it is time of the season iconic to the game in England. Wilson commented: "I genuinely love football over Christmas, I enjoy coming in and I reckon the players do too.
"They will be training throughout the festive period and we try and make it as enjoyable as possible, despite being firmly focused on the next game.
"I am hoping to see a few Christmas jumpers and cardigans on Christmas Day, let's come in for a few hours, work hard and have a laugh.
"The Easter period is often the time when teams make a move at the top and bottom but I don't reckon this division will change much as the months go by.
"It will be very tight and I expect it to remain that way for a long time yet. You never know though, it could separate, hopefully in our favour.
"For the fans, Boxing Day is always special and the atmosphere is often electric. You simply can't take away the Christmas fixtures."
