Danny Wilson is looking forward to the League One campaign after describing the timing of the Capital One Cup first round as strange.
"I can't quite understand the choice of playing these games when they have," said Wilson. "They are usually played after the league games have started and are usually played as midweek games. It certainly had the feel of a pre-season game about it, so that may need a re-think from the powers that be?"
The Blades boss is now turning all his attentions to start of the League One campaign.
"Certainly the massive focus for us now is on the Shrewsbury game. We will have to lay the ghosts of penalty shoot-outs at some point but for us now the most important thing to do is bounce back with three points on Saturday.
"We have a long and arduous season ahead of us so having played 120 minutes against Burton will do us no harm in terms of the preparation of our fitness levels.
"Shrewsbury will come with a game plan and will be highly motivated so we have had the ideal preparation for that challenge and we know we will have to be at our competitive best to get of to a winning start."
