Skipper wants start to continue

24 August 2012

Michael Doyle is expecting a tough afternoon's work at Colchester United on Saturday, but he believes the Blades can build on the unbeaten start to the campaign.

The skipper has been encouraged by the return of four points from a possible six to date, but acknowledges there is still plenty of room for improvement:

"Obviously we were happy to start with a win against Shrewsbury and then we more than deserved our point at Coventry in midweek.

"Now we head for another tough away game at Colchester and as we know from last season, they will give us a real test. We are slowly gaining some momentum and our aim is to remain unbeaten for as long as possible.

"But, as we saw last season, we took some time to get into our stride and we still have plenty of areas this time around which need to improve if we are going to be successful this season."
