Ready to lock horns

17 August 2012

Ahead of United's first league game of season, Danny Wilson spoke of a familiar foe in the visiting technical area.

"Graham Turner will make sure this is a tough game for us," explained Wilson.

"I have locked horns enough with Graham over the years to know that that will be the case. Shrewsbury will be well-drilled and are always difficult to break down. After last Saturday's defeat at Leeds they will have a point to prove and it will be a real test.

"Shrewsbury will be very committed and they have several potential match-winners, including Paul Parry, who they have signed from Preston. (Marvin) Morgan is a real handful as is (Mark) Wright on the right wing and we have to be respectful to them."

Wilson added: "We started at Oldham last season and it was a fantastic to start with a win and it's our aim to do the same this year."
