Danny wise ahead of Morecambe trip

3 August 2012

The Blades make a first ever trip to Morecambe's Globe Arena on Saturday with Danny Wilson hoping to maintain the winning start to the pre-season campaign.

After three wins and two draws so far, the Blades boss is keen to maintain the impetus on the Lancashire coast. He said: "It's a new stadium and we are told it's a good pitch, which will enable us to try and play some good football.

"Jim Bentley has got them playing well but it is up to us to keep the momentum going. Winning is important, not the be all and end all, but we want to keep the impetus as we edge closer to the start of the season.

"We'll be taking a strong and experienced squad and I hope I'll be talking about another victory on Saturday night."

Morecambe have lost to Bury and Bolton in the last week.

Blades fans can pay on the day at the Globe Arena.
