Family Fun Day coupled with the Capital One Cup first round match saw Bramall Lane as a hive of activity a week before the npower League One campaign starts.
A technical error with the Blades new automated cup tie ticketing scheme resulted in a number of supporters season ticket cards not being activated for the Capital One Cup game against Burton Albion. The situation was dealt with as quickly as possible and everything possible was done to try and get those fans affected in the ground before the 3pm kick-off.
Dave McCarthy, the Blades Managing Director, said: "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to supporters on Saturday. We had a technical difficulty with our ticketing system which has been rectified by our ticketing department and will not happen again. I can reassure supporters that these difficulties will not affect access to the ground for the league game against Shrewsbury Town this Saturday."
League action begins for United on Saturday against Shrewsbury Town at Bramall Lane kick-off at 3pm, they then travel to the Ricoh Arena on the 21st August to face League 1 new boys Coventry City.
