Blades v Shrews - team news

17 August 2012

Danny Wilson is planning to leave his team selection until Saturday as a number of players are set to undergo late fitness tests.

"We have got a few lads who will be assessed before the game on Saturday," said the Blades chief. "They include Matt Hill, John Cofie, Ryan Flynn and Chris Porter. They have got slight niggles and at the moment we don't know how they will respond to treatment before the weekend."

Cofie, Mark Howard, Darryl Westlake, Tony McMahon, Shaun Miller and Nick Blackman, who scored in the Capital One Cup last weekend, could all make their league debuts for the Blades.

Shrewsbury Town have doubts over defenders Darren Jones and Reuben Hazell, both of whom have been struggling with calf strains.

Hazell was on the bench and Jones missed the heavy League Cup defeat at Leeds United last weekend.
