Sheffield United's under 18s continued their fine form with a comfortable victory at home to Nottingham Forest despite playing almost an hour with ten men.
Kyron Gordon was sent off shortly before half-time after receiving two yellow cards in the space of five minutes, but goals from Andre Brooks, Connor Leak-Blunt and Hassan Ayari had already sent the Blades well on their way.
Ayari added his second late on as the youngsters continued to dominate despite their numerical disadvantage and they continue to consolidate their spot in the division's top two.
It took the Blades just six minutes to take the lead in what turned out to be a crazy couple of minutes. A swift break saw Femi Seriki spread the ball to Andre Brooks, the left-back taking a touch before hammering the ball into the top corner.
But amazingly Forest were level just seconds later. With the wind playing havoc at Shirecliffe, Forest struck straight from kick-off as an effort from the halfway line looped over Sam Kelly and meant it was 1-1 straight away.
United didn't let it bother them though and soon retook the lead through Leak-Blunt. Superb work from Daniel Jebbison out on the left saw him beat several players before pulling the ball back for the midfielder who slotted home.
Ryan Viggars fired over before Ayari got in on the action, tapping home after Jebbison's lobbed effort needed a nudge over the line to make it three.
Gordon received his marching orders soon after when his foul stopped a promising Forest attack and the defender was shown a second yellow card.
The second half saw the Blades go into control mode with a man less, but they still continued to dominate the game and had chances to add more, but it took until 15 minutes from time for Ayari to seal things with his second and a stylish effort on the half volley into the roof of the net.
