Hull 0-2 Under 18s - report

Sheffield United's Under 18s continued their good form with a comfortable 2-0 away at Hull City and it could have been more.

Goals within two minutes of each other from the returning Nickseon Gomis and striker Sam Ackroyd were enough to seal the points, though the young Blades had chances to add to their tally.

It kicked off a busy day of academy action with the Under 23s playing Barnsley shortly after the Under 18s finished.

There was a changed look to the team with several of the regular Under 18s called into Under 23 action but there was no negative effect had as the youngsters cruised to a comfortable victory.

After plenty of early pressure as both sides looked to cope with the strong winds at Bishop Burton College, Gomis knocked in the opener on his return to the side after injury.

Just over a minute later and it was 2-0 as Ackroyd continued his own personal good run of form to slot home the second and put the game to bed early doors.

The young Blades had plenty of chances to increase the score line but couldn't find a way past the Hull defence and goalkeeper again.

Daniel Jebbison, Antwoine Hackford and Andre Brooks were introduced as Del Geary utilised his squad in the second half and while no further goals arrived, the youngsters saw the game out to wrap up another important three points.
