United's U18s were held to a highly entertaining draw by Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
Goals from David Parkhouse, George Cantrill, who would later be shown a red card, and Tom Clare weren't enough to get all three points at the Steelphalt Academy.
The opening stages were quiet with both teams finding their feet, but Dewhurst would be the first of the two goalkeepers to be called into action as he made a good save from a free-kick.
United broke the deadlock on 20 minutes as a good cross from Boyes on the left-hand side was knocked down by Potts at the back post for PARKHOUSE to smash into the roof of the net at the second time of asking after his first effort was blocked.
As the break approached United doubled the lead as Broadbent swung the ball in following a short corner and Parkhouse turned provider as he knocked down for CANTRILL to nod home from close range.
Just before the half-time whistle QPR would be back in the game though, scoring from close-range, following a mazy run into the box.
Unfortunately for the Blades the second-half began exactly how the first ended, with a Rangers goals.
The following 20 minutes were very cagey with little chances but still a sense that another goal would come and that it did on 75 minutes when Oure broke in behind brilliantly to square for CLARE who had the easy task of tapping home from four yards to restore the advantage.
That would only last for three minutes however as some neat play down the right led to a cross that was turned home on the turn well to ensure the spoils would be shared.
Blades: Dewhurst, Cantrill, Boyes, Williams, Belehouan, Broadbent, Potts (Graham 45), Doherty, Parkhouse (Ompreon 74). Oure, Fleming (Clare 62).
Unused: Kelly, Portman.
