United's U23s kicked off their Professional Development League campaign with a deserved victory over Ipswich Town at Stocksbridge on Monday.
Ben Morris fired Town in front, but Reece York restored parity inside 60 seconds, before David Parkhouse bundled the Blades into the lead before half-time.
In the second-half, Simeon Oure added a third, before Morris set up a tense finale with his second of the afternoon.
The opening exchanges of the contest at Bracken Moor were scrappy, but the game burst into life on 14 minutes, as MORRIS fired home past Eastwood from the edge of the area after a lay-off from Folami.
The Blades hit back immediately though and from the kick-off the ball was worked out wide to the left and YORK timed his run perfectly into the area before slotting past Wright.
United then took a firm grip on proceedings in the 33rd minute as PARKHOUSE got across his marker to force the ball home after Hallam had rounded Wright, with York and Boyes making notable contributions in the build-up.
The home side controlled much of the second period and added a third, with the goal of the game. York freed Hallam down the left, he advanced to the byline before pulling back for OURE to sweep home left-footed past Wright.
Town refused to go down with a fight though and substitute Brown cannoned an effort of the bar, before Eastwood was at his best to deny Folami from point blank range.
Ipswich saw their mounting pressure rewarded with seven minutes left, as MORRIS scored with the aid of the woodwork, but the young Blades held firm to claim the spoils.
