United ended their Professional Development League campaign with defeat against Crewe Alexandra at Bramall Lane.
Oliver Greaves opened the scoring in the first-half, only for Charlie Kirk to restore parity from the penalty spot. Callum Saunders then won it for the visitors with a second-half header.
The Blades had the first half chance when Parkhouse struck just over from inside the box in the 10th minute.
A goalmouth scramble saw David Brooks have his attempt to bundle home cleared off of the line moments later as the Blades were looked to turn their dominance into goals.
And it was United who opened the scoring in the 28th minute, Kelly's shot was saved by Dawber, but it fell to GREAVES who slid the ball into the empty net from close range.
United's lead did not last long however as nine minutes later referee Wooton awarded Crewe a penalty after Ferguson's challenge on Udoh. KIRK converted sending Eastwood the wrong way.
Crewe came close to taking the lead in the opening five minutes of the second half when Udoh forced an excellent reflex save from Eastwood inside the six-yard box.
The Blades pressed as Reed's through ball found Parkhouse who's one-on-one attempt was blocked by Dawber as the Blades searched for the third goal of the game.
It was Crewe who took the lead however as SAUNDERS headed home from close range following a floated cross from Kirk, who moments prior struck the bar.
The Blades were left to fight for a point from there on out and Crewe defended their one goal lead for the rest of the match to take the spoils.
