Sheffield United Under 18s returned to winning ways at home to Burnley thanks to goals in either half from Jake Kelly and Angelo Cappello.
Bar a 15-minute spell at the start of the second half, the Blades were largely in control throughout and had chances to score more but the two they did score were enough for a big three points.
Leo Gaxha went closest after 15 minutes when he rounded the Burnley goalkeeper but slid his effort just wide of the far post.
The United pressure built and just before the half hour mark they took the lead. A corner came out as far as Kelly who took a touch and smashed a low effort into the corner from outside the box.
The momentum continued to build but the Blades couldn't find a second before the break. Both Sam Ackroyd and Cappello headed wide before Burnley came out for the second half looking for an equaliser and caused the hosts plenty of issues.
Some wayward finishing and good defending kept them at bay, Tom Williams in particular making a vital block to keep it at 1-0.
United too had their chances on the break as both Gaxha and Cappello wasted good openings, but the second did arrive minutes later when Cappello headed home Zak Brunt's cross from the left.
Brunt could and should have scored himself moments later before substitute Hassan Ayari was denied by a super save with his first involvement with just over five minutes left of the match.
