Sheffield United Under 18s came from behind twice against Crewe Alexandra to ensure they walked away with a point after last weekend's defeat at home to Wigan Athletic.
A double from Leo Gaxha who continued his good run of form towards the end of both halves salvaged a game where the Blades will feel they should have won with the chances they created.
But it was the hosts who struck first just a few minutes into the match to leave United on the back foot early on.
Del Geary's side responded well though and created several good chances, including hitting the woodwork several times throughout the match before Gaxha struck just before half-time to build on his brace against Barnsley two weeks ago.
But Crewe went back in front early in the second half to once again leave United with a mountain to climb.
Frankie Maguire and Zak Brunt both hit the post while captain Harrison Neal fired against the bar as the Blades somehow failed to make the most of their constant pressure.
The equaliser did come though just over 10 minutes before the end of the game when Gaxha fired home his second of the game to ensure a share of the points.
There was more late pressure from the visitors but the winner never arrived on a day where United showed plenty of fighting spirit to come from behind twice.
