Several youngsters have now officially started their scholarships with the club, whilst others have become first-year professionals at the SteelPhalt Academy at Shirecliffe.

Nine have put pen-to-paper on scholarship deal, including midfielder Frankie Maguire and striker Ryan Viggers, who both featured for the U18s last term.

Daniel Jebbison, William Osula, Andre Brookes and Hassan Ayari will all add different attacking dimensions to Derek Geary's side in the forthcoming campaign, whilst Tristan Skeritt and Harvey Cullinan will offer defensive reinforcements, along with imposing goalkeeper Josh Chapman.

Meanwhile, seven development players have signed on professional contracts with United, including Ashton Hall, who returns to the club from Matlock Town.

England youth international Marcus Dewhurst, currently away in Portugal with the first-team, defender Jean Belehouan, George Broadbent, Sammy Ompreon, Jake Young and Jordan Amissah will also continue to progress through the ranks in the 2019/2020 campaign.

Finally, congratulations to young defender Kyron Gordon, who has singed a two-year professional deal with the club that will begin once his scholarship ends next summer.
