Striker Chris was one of United's major signings in the summer of 2011 after leaving Derby County, for whom his career was interrupted by injury problems.
Battling for a regular spot with the Blades, he scored eight goals (including the winner in a play-off semi-final) in 24 starts and did enough for Danny Wilson to offer him an extended deal.
Before arriving at S2, Chris played in his native Lancashire with Oldham and Bury, before moving north to Motherwell and then on to Derby. Whilst with the Rams, he scored a hat-trick at Bramall Lane in a reserve title decider!
