Bizarre doesn't do his goal justice, but Richard Cresswell says years of trying finally paid dividends when he netted United's fourth against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.
Cresswell left on-loan Argyle goalkeeper David Stockdale red-faced, when he popped up from behind the keeper, pinched the ball and put it in the unguarded net:
"I remember Dion Dublin doing something similar a long time ago. I just had a feeling he was going to put the ball down, and when he did I managed to get in front of him and slide it in."
"To be fair I still had a bit of work to do because he came straight at me, so it was nice to see it hit the back of the net.
"I have tried it many times before but without success, so it was a great feeling and in the end we needed that goal to get the points."
United will have been disappointed to concede three second-half goals, but despite acknowledging the need to tighten things up, Cresswell was keen to draw on the positives, which included three of the Blades frontmen getting on the scoresheet:
"It was a strange game. We totally dominated the first-half, but after going three up we dropped our guard and in the end it was all hands to the pump.
"At the end of the day though it is three points and that was our only thought coming into the game. We know we must improve, but to score four goals is brilliant and everybody contributed.
"I knew Henri would have the pace to get way from his marker, Wardy's first was an excellent finish and to nick one myself made it a good day around."
