Assistant manager Sam Ellis was grateful for the last gasp draw that United snatched from Ipswich Town on Tuesday and admitted that the visitors were perhaps a bit hard done to.

"We won't get a better point this season considering that we were not at our best and 3-1 down with only twenty minutes to go.

"It was a point out of nothing because the lads were at sixes and sevens at times. They were anxious about their game, anxious to please the fans and that worked against them really.

"We are letting in goals too easily - you don't need to be a genius to know that - so we are delighted with a point but disappointed with the performance.

"In the end it was the sheer courage and never say die attitude of the players that pulled them through and that is the basis of our philosophy at this Club - they don't know when they are beaten.

"I thought the fans did well for us tonight. They are entitled to be frustrated when things are going wrong but they put their frustrations behind them and I think they helped us win the point."
