Blades midfielder Alan Quinn praised the character of his team-mates, after United fought back from 3-1 down to secure a thrilling point against Cardiff City at Bramall Lane on Tuesday evening.

Alan, who started his first league game of the season, was happy with the spirit shown by the side, but felt the Blades should have been in total command by half-time.

He began, "It was a good fightback in the end, but first-half I thought we dominated and we should have had the game killed off.

"We did well in the second-half to come back, but we know we can do better."

Quinn feels confidence within the squad is crucial and is hoping the comeback can be a turning-point.

He outlined, "We have the squad to do well, if we can go on a run the confidence will be there to see and things will be ok."

After impressing on Tuesday the Irishman wants a prolonged run in the team.
