A beer-loving Blade has won the prize of a lifetime after snapping up a year's supply of lager in a lucky prize draw.

Craig Nicholson, aged 34, from Sheffield was the lucky fan to win the prize, after his name was pulled out of the hat for buying a flexi ticket, a unique offer which guarantees fans a seat to six fixtures for the first half of the season.

Craig won 365 cans of Carling, equating to one can a day for a year, courtesy of club sponsors, Molson Coors.

He said: "It was great to win the prize - it's saved me loads of money from buying beer every so often. At the moment all the cans are stacked up in the living room and I'm using them as a table!

"I've never won anything before, so it was a lovely surprise, especially as my name was picked from hundreds of supporters - I'm never normally that lucky."

Molson Coors provided the prize after signing a three-year, six-figure deal with the club, which started in June.

As part of the deal, Molson Coors has been installed as the official beer supplier of Sheffield United, meaning that Blades fans can now look forward to Molson Coors' great beer brands being served at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United's flexi ticket offer is still available, which lets fans attend five fixtures for the first half of the season, plus a ticket at the Blades versus Reading in December for free.

The flexi ticket package boasts a number of additional benefits, including 1,000 loyalty points, an exclusive member's gift, plus 10 percent off Blades merchandise and access to exclusive member's events and promotions.
