The powerful, Yorkshire reared striker signed for his first northern club in July 2008 when Kevin Blackwell shelled out £2m for his services from Watford.
Darius began his career at Reading and had a loan spell with Brighton before moving on to Gillingham. He then had a fruitful loan period at Swindon Town before signing for Watford and helping them into the Premiership, scoring one of the goals in the play-off final victory over Leeds.
He is said to have attracted the attentions of a number of other Championship clubs before signing for the Blades and has scored 19 goals in his first two campaigns, despite his progress being hampered by injuries and suspensions.
