Despite being London-born, Seamus moved to Ireland as a ten-year-old and has represented the Republic of Ireland at junior and U21s level. The versatile defender, who can also operate in midfield, spent all of his League of Ireland career with Galway United before signing for the Blades in January 2011, agreeing an 18-month deal.
Former Blades striker Don Givens played a role in Seamus arriving in Sheffield for a trial spell and his game has improved since beginning training full-time at Shirecliffe. In the summer of 2011 he featured heavily in pre-season and was part of tour of Malta.
