An attacking midfield player, Erik was signed in 2011 after Blades scouts spotted him playing for Strindheim in his Norwegian homeland.
Since coming over to these shores, he has featured heavily for United's development squad and made his first team debut as a substitute against Middlesbrough in April 2011.
Having time to mature at the Shirecliffe training base, he will be hoping to make an impact at first team level in the 2011/12 campaign, particularly after scoring a number of goals in pre-season.
