Academy graduate Stephen was one of the leading appearance makers of the 2008/09 season and chipped in with a number of important goals, eight in total from midfield. It is safe to say he has firmly established himself as a first team regular after bursting on to the scene when the Blades were part of the Premiership a season earlier. He made a name for himself with a string of fine performances. His form also didn't go unnoticed at international level and he was named in a full Republic of Ireland squad, as well as performing consistently for the under 21s. He is the brother of Alan and Keith, also professionals.
