Gary Speed's first pre-match press conference was held on Friday when he was asked about a number of subjects.
Here's a resume of the new Gaffer's answers ahead of Sunday's visit to the Riverside to face Gordon Strachan's Middlesbrough...
On his first few days in the job:
"It's been hectic, tiring, but enjoyable. I've been on the phone for a lot of the time which is different but the best bit is being on the training ground with the players. There have been no big surprises as yet, I've been busy most of every day but I'm only three days into the job so things could change."
On new first team coach, John Carver:
"In his first session with the players he went straight in and got on with it and that's what I want from him. John knew some of the players anyway and they are delighted that he has come in. It is a different voice on the training ground and that's important. Of course he was at Newcastle during my time there and he's been around the world coaching, he's very experienced. I'll still be hands on and keeping Sam Ellis was also a big plus for me because I value his opinion."
On his relationship with players:
"The players have started calling me Gaffer which was a bit strange for the first day but I'm used to it now. I think only Morgs, Monty and Quinny are still here from my playing days, and they are tremendous professionals, so it won't be a problem for them adjusting to my new role. The remainder of the lads have only seen me as a coach."
On Middlesbrough and their Scottish legion:
"We've prepared all week and I'm excited. In my head I've virtually picked my team but I'll discuss it with John Carver and Sam Ellis before we talk to the players. They are favourites to go up, they have spent a lot of money so it will be good test for us. Kris Boyd and Scott McDonald scored a lot of goals in Scotland and they'll be the ones we'll be looking to stop, but they have good players all over the pitch. They have got strength in depth and all around the pitch. We'd love to pick up three points but we are not going to forfeit one point to pick up three."
On Gordon Strachan and Gary McAllister:
"I've not spoken to Gordon since I got the job, Gary rung though, but my phone has been red-hot so he left a message. I rung him back but couldn't get through. I'm looking forward to seeing them both on Sunday, they will be trying to pull my leg a little but we'll have a drink afterwards. Gordon came to Leeds when I was young and he was the fittest player at the club - both were big influences on me as a player."
