Morgs on Owls

Posted on: Sat 17 Apr 2010

Chris Morgan feels the Sheffield Wednesday team's ability isn't a true reflection of their current league position and is urging the Blades to add to their woes on Sunday:

"You look through their squad and you don't expect them to be in the bottom three. If you had asked their players at the beginning of the season I am sure they wouldn't have dreamt about being in this position.

"We know it won't be a rollover, regardless of the league table, and to win the game we must play well and be prepared for a good battle because that is what a true derby is about.

"There isn't as much pressure on us so we can enjoy the game if that is possible in a derby because everything is geared up for us to go there and play some good football."

Looking at the Owls frontline in particularly, United's charismatic leader has been quick to compliment their talent, but is confident United can handle whatever is thrown at them at Hillsborough:

"Marcus (Tudgay) is a good player, he is better in the air than his height suggests and he has got a fantastic leap. Burnley were willing to pay a lot of money for him in the summer so that shows how good he can be, but you look through their squad and they do have several top players.

"Luke Varney is an experienced striker and Leon Clarke is the one who could be utilised as an out and out centre forward. We will be briefed about all their players and will know what to expect from whoever we come up against."
