Owls form guide

Posted on: Fri 16 Apr 2010

United will be looking to add to Wednesday's woe on Sunday and in the process make it back-to back league victories for the first time in 2010.

The Owls have won just once in their last nine matches and have found goals hard to come by. Alan Irvine's men haven't scored in five of the matches during that spell.

On a positive note Wednesday haven't conceded too many at the other end and have quite often lost games by the odd goal.

A whirlwind first-half performance went a long way to securing the spoils in the corresponding fixture at the Lane in September.

Ward, Henderson and a Buxton own goal gave the Blades a 3-0 lead at the break, but the Owls, to their credit rallied with Tudgay and Esajas scoring, although ultimately their comeback fell short.

Wednesday are currently in the relegation places and are a point away from safety going into the weekend, although their goal difference is inferior to the majority of the teams around them.
