Last time at The Posh

Posted on: Mon 08 Mar 2010

United were 4-0 winners on their last league visit to London Road, way back in the successful 1981/82 season which ended with United winning the old Fourth Division.

Two goals from Keith Edwards, who ended up with 35 league goals in total that campaign, along with further strikes from Jeff King and Colin Morris saw the Blades run out comfortable winners.

The scoreline was replicated when the two sides played at the Lane later that season, with Edwards again bagging a brace and Morris netting the fourth in another convincing success.

United: Waugh, Richardson, Garner, Charles, MacPhail, Kenworthy, Morris, Trusson, Edwards, Hatton, King.
