Family allegiance for Keane
Tuesday night's clash between United and Ipswich may be something of a family affair, and Stephen Quinn is hoping to get one over both his brother Alan, and the Republic of Ireland legend currently in charge of the Suffolk outfit.
Despite the Tractor Boys' poor start to the season, Quinn is of the opinion that Roy Keane will turn things around and admits it will be an honour to meet the former Ireland skipper:
"I have been speaking to Alan on the phone and everybody there knows they are having a tough time at the moment, but that could change quickly with the league the way it is.
"They have spent a few quid on players but maybe it is taking time to gel, and I know Alan reckons a win might get them on a run.
"He has told me it is hard work and intimidating playing under Roy. He has them in on a Sunday to cool down and analyse the game, but we both loved him as a player.
"Obviously, a lot of Irish players look up to Roy Keane and I am looking forward to meeting him tomorrow. His stature and the way he conducts himself makes him a role model for a lot of people."
With both teams looking for a positive response after defeats at the weekend, Quinn is hoping that his goal in Wales proves enough to keep his place in Kevin Blackwell's starting eleven on Tuesday night:
"They got a bit of a battering against Newcastle and I am sure they will be looking to correct that, just like we will after losing at Swansea.
"The two goals I have scored this season have given me confidence and hopefully that can continue.
"There is a lot of competition for places here and all you can do is work hard on the training pitch and hope the Gaffer picks you."
