United resumed training on Bank Holiday Monday and manager Kevin Blackwell turned his attentions to some tricky selection decisions ahead of the midweek game at Huddersfield.
The Terriers provide second round Carling Cup opposition and will be stung by a poor performance in a 3-1 home loss to Bury last Saturday.
Blackwell, in pitting his wits against old adversary Stan Ternent, will ponder about a return for Chris Morgan following his bang to the head ten days ago, and get an update on the groin strain that kept Jon Stead out of the squad at Blackpool.
It was virtually all change when Blackwell named his team in the previous round and he will again have to decide between the continuity of a winning team or keeping more of his squad match fit.
Only Henderson, Quinn and Kilgallon kept their starting roles in the last round against Port Vale, and two of those received plaudits from Kevin Blackwell following the win at Blackpool:
"Quinny had a very good first-half and took his goal with real style, while Darius had a real battle and coped very well."
He added: "Sun Jihai took a little knock and came off as a precaution, although he took a little bit of an earbashing as well for a slight loss of concentration! But he showed great quality again.
"As for Gary Speed, well I just plug him in on a Monday and off he goes! I absolutely love working with him and so do the lads."
