Hendrie remains confident

Posted on: Fri 19 Oct 2007

Lee Hendrie is confident the players can muster a long unbeaten and is hopeful of collecting three points against Preston North End at Bramall Lane.

The midfielder feels the hardwork put in by the players during the international break will reap its reward starting on Saturday.

He began: "It's all about consistency is this league, because anyone can beat anyone on their day and we are confident of putting a strong run together to climb the league.

"We need a bit luck, but really we should be winning games with the players we have."

Hendrie knows though that things won't be easy against the Lilywhites, who themselves have struggled so far this season.

He said: "Preston are a good team, who are struggling a bit at the moment and we need the fans to get right behind us."

Hendrie also feels that the Blades strength in-depth can be a major plus throughout the current campaign.

He ended: "Having strength in-depth gives everyone the hunger to compete to regain their shirt. Healthy competition is good for any club."
