Cardiff so far

Posted on: Tue 02 Oct 2007

The Bluebirds travel to Bramall Lane on Tuesday night, hoping for a win after an inconsistent start to the season.

City began with a 0-1 home reverse against Stoke City, before enjoying a 2-0 success against QPR at Loftus Road.

They followed that with a home defeat against Coventry, before having more joy on the road with a 2-1 win at Norwich City and a 2-2 draw against Plymouth.

Since then Cardiff have progressed to the fourth round of the Carling Cup, when they will face Liverpool at Anfield, thanks to a thrilling 4-2 victory against WBA at The Hawthorns.

On Saturday they drew 1-1 at Barnsley, meaning they are unbeaten in all competitions on their travels.

A front two of Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will pose a big threat to the Blades backline - the duo have bagged seven goals between them this season.
