Blades v Cardiff - team news

Posted on: Tue 02 Oct 2007

The Blades have major injury concerns over Nick Montgomery (rib) and Gary Naysmith (hamstring) for the visit of Cardiff City to Bramall Lane on Tuesday.

Montgomery is rated at only 50/50, whilst Naysmith is likely to miss out after been withdrawn mid-way through the second-half against Southampton on Saturday.

Boss Bryan Robson is hoping for a much improved display, following Saturday's poor showing.

He said, "We must stop shooting ourselves in the foot. We start off playing well, get a goal and things look like they are going ok.

"Then we concede two bad goals through individual errors and are chasing the game throughout the second-half."

Cardiff will arrive at Bramall Lane in confident mood; they are unbeaten away from home in all competitions this season.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Robbie Fowler are likely to lead the line for the Bluebirds, whilst Trevor Sinclair is another experienced campaigner expected to play on the right-hand side.
