Chris Morgan was full of praise for his team-mates after they ended the campaign with the resounding 3-0 success over Ipswich Town.

United's skipper has been impressed by the character and desire as they finished the season with a four game unbeaten run.

Two players in particular came in for some kind words from Morgan, who admits everyone has played their part in the recent upturn:

"After the Newcastle game we talked about going unbeaten for the rest of the season, and we have managed to achieve that.

"We have scored five goals and kept two clean sheets in the final two matches, so obviously the lads were thinking 'what if' after the game on Sunday.

"We have finished 8th in the end, five points off the top six, but you have to accept that we have slipped up too many times.

"It is still a great way to finish and Portman Road is always a fantastic place to visit. The lads can be proud of our finish, and attentions straight away turn to next season.

"Ched and 'Yeatesy' were brilliant and it was pleasing they both got on the scoresheet. They have shown the manager what they are capable of, but everyone deserves credit for the finish because nobody has taken their foot off the gas."
