Brian Howard feels United's participation in Monday's Championship Play-Off Final justifies his decision to move from Barnsley.
Howard's switch, which was made permanent in January, caused some controversy at Oakwell, but the former England schoolboy insists it was made purely for footballing reasons.
"I have got my passion and love back for football and I came here to get the big goals - hopefully there is one more left in me," he said.
He is also hoping to make it second time lucky when he steps out at the 'new' Wembley on Monday and knows more than most that the impressive arena is no place for losers.
Brian was part of the Barnsley team that lost to Cardiff City in the capital in last season's FA Cup Semi-Final and is keen to put the record straight.
"It is a great experience to play in front of 90,000 fans in a stadium where you watch FA Cup Finals and England internationals on the television," he adds. "It is everybody's dream to one day play at Wembley, but being on the losing team is the worst feeling in football.
"It is a big occasion, with both sets of fans equal and a real neutral venue. At Wembley, nobody has an advantage, but it is such a showpiece and a real chance to show people watching how good you are."
Looking ahead to the big day, the former Barnsley skipper is sure United's preparation will ensure they are ready for the big kick-off and is adamant the fans have their part to play:
"There is a calm feel in the camp and that was noticeable before the semi-finals, we are trying to just concentrate on our job and let others talk the game up."
"Once you are on the pitch you can't pay too much attention to what is going on around you. I find it easy to settle into the game, although the crowd can give you that buzz and inspiration.
"When you are in the tunnel waiting to go out you get a feeling in the bottom of your stomach, but you just have to take a deep breath and stick your chest out."
