Naysmith opts for switch from the Blades

Posted on: Fri 04 Jun 2010

Sheffield United's left back Gary Naysmith has rejected fresh terms and agreed to join Huddersfield Town.

The 31-year-old, who came to the club from Premier League Everton, turned down the offer of a Championship level new contract from Sheffield United, opting to accept an offer from the West Yorkshire club. He becomes a Huddersfield player from 1st July.

Gary made 79 appearances for the Blades over three years, although serious injury restricted him to two appearances in the 2009/10 season. The club wish Gary all the best for the future.
