Fair play all round needed
Darius Henderson has a part to play in helping himself get a fair deal from officials, claims Sam Ellis.
Speaking just days after the striker's controversial dismissal at Forest the Blades' assistant manager endorsed Kevin Blackwell's view that Henderson is sometimes labelled the aggressor when he is really the victim, but acknowledges that the 28 year old could do more to avoid flashpoint situations:
"We keep telling him to 'play your size' and to 'play your strength' and to keep his elbows down but it is sometimes difficult when you are physically competing against somebody out there.
"He needs to concentrate more on his game, though, because in the end being suspended could cost him his place.
"If he gets a reputation it will be hard to lose which would be a shame because on occasions we think he is victimised."
"Whatever happened at Forest very few people saw but Darius was the one who went. He thinks he was hard done by and if we thought the same we would appeal but, try as we might, we cannot come up with any video of the incident from anywhere
