Two of United's development players Matthew Lowton and Sam Wedgbury have signed extended one-year contracts, but will remain with Ferencvaros for the next six-months to enhance their developments.

The duo spent the second-half of last season on-loan at United's Hungarian sister club and played key roles in helping Fradi regain top-flight status by winning the NB II title, along with Jordan Robertson and Liban Abdi.

Lowton and Wedgbury were regulars in the Blades reserve-team prior to their stint with Bobby Davison's outfit, with the versatile pair both captaining United's second string on occasions.
