Young stopper Jamie Annerson continued his development with a two-game loan stint at Mansfield Town last week.

Annerson was drafted in by the Stags on an emergency week-to-week loan after Town's first-choice keeper Paddy Gamble was involved in a car crash.

The goalkeeper, who has followed Sam Wedgbury and Maxime Chanot to Blue Square Premier outfit this season, was delighted to get the chance of some game time and admits a return to Nottinghamshire would interest him in the New Year:

"I enjoyed the two matches and it was nice to be playing again. Unfortunately, we lost both games at Kidderminster in the league and at Wrexham in the FA Trophy.

"Hopefully, I will get the chance to go back in January, but their goalkeeper has declared himself fit for the moment after his accident."
